The NSRA's Scottish Meeting is being followed by the Scottish Southern Counties' annual Field Day on the same range, and this will incorporate a round of the Scottish Smallbore Rifle  Association's Grand Prix series.  The NSRA meeting takes place from Saturday 30th June to Friday 6th July, and the SSCA meeting runs on Saturday/Sunday 7th/8th July.

This year, the Scottish Borders sees a return of the NSRA Scottish Meeting. To celebrate the event, Scottish Southern Counties Association has teamed up with the SSRA to extend the ‘Scottish’ to a 9-day shooting festival. In conjunction with an SSRA Prone Grand Prix, the annual Borders ‘Field Day’ becomes a week-end Open Meeting.

The usual Field Day programme of an 80 shot aggregate, ladies, junior, unlimiteds, team sharpshooter and handicap team competition is augmented with 4 classes, the addition of a handicapped Dewar competition, a Veterans competition and a scratch team competition. All the above, except the Sharpshooter, are unsquadded. The ten leaders in the Borders aggregate, regardless of class, are invited to shoot 40 shots at 100 yards for the Borders Open and the Liddle-Grainger Championship (trophy confined).

J & A Turnbull of Bank St, Galashiels is sponsoring the Liddle-Grainger and the winner will receive 500 rounds of Eley Tenex.

The SSRA Grand Prix remains in its regular format at this event, with an English match in 3 squads on the Saturday morning, in 4 classes, concurrent pairs, sweepstakes and under-21 competitions. This forms an elimination for the Grand Prix events later on Saturday afternoon. The leading 20 in A & B class proceed to the Grand Prix [3 details of 30 minutes] while the leading 10 in C & D proceed to the C&D Grand Prix [2 details of 20 minutes]. The leading 8 in the Grand Prix then proceed to an ISSF final.

Turnbull's are also sponsoring the Grand Prix, and will present 500 rounds of Eley Tenex to the winner.
