Lothian team scores in SSRA's Inter-Region Matches.

In the SSRA's Inter-Region matches at the Denwood range on 20th April 2008, Lothian won the indoor Regional competitions for the third year in a row.  However, we came only third in the outdoor competition, losing the Bob Normand Memorial Trophy to Grampian after two winning years.  The indoor competition was 40 shots at 25 yards, and the outdoor was a double Dewar (40 shots at 50m, 40 shots at 100yards).  Teams of 6, best 5 scores to count.

I Thomson (Watsonians) 378 372 750
Total (best 5)     3768

Winners were Grampian with 3806, second were Forth & Clyde with 3771. The scores were much lower than usual due to the very tricky wind conditions (Lothian won this last year with a score of 3891, over 100 points better than this year's winning score.)

The team captain would like to thank everyone who turned out for this competition.  The eventual team contained only one member from the original selection and after several reserves had also called off.  Winning the indoor competition was a great achievement.
