Competitions & Results The Association provides a wide-ranging selection of competitions for its affiliates. All take place in the winter indoor season (October to March).

After much searching a team of six was found to compete in the annual Inter Region matches at Denwood in Aberdeen run by the Scottish Smallbore Rifle Association on 17th April 2011. There are two Inter-Region matches, one indoors and one outdoors, and the same team shot in both. Our representatives shot well, but not well enough, however, and had to settle for third place in the indoor match and second place in the outdoor match. The indoor competition
is 40 shots at 25 yards, and the outdoor is a double Dewar (40 shots at
50m, 40 shots at 100yards). Teams of 6, best 5 scores to count.
Winners were Highland with 1962 and second were Grampian with 1943. Outdoor match - 2nd
The winners of the Bob Normand trophy were Highland with 3867, and third were Grampian with 3818 Sarah Bates won the Women's competition and Alistair Littlejohn won the Class C Aggregate. Congratulations to them. Here's a photo of our happy-looking team at a windy Denwood:
