In the SSRA's Inter-Region matches shot at Denwood on 23rd April 2006, Lothian won both the indoor and outdoor competitions. The indoor competition was 40 shots at 25 yards, and the outdoor was a double Dewar (40 shots at 50m, 40 shots at 100yards). Teams of 6, best 5 scores to count. Indoor match
Runners-up were Forth & Clyde with
1926 and third were Fife with 1925. There may or may not be a trophy
for this.
Runners-up and third place were the same, with Forth & Clyde scoring 3813 and Fife 3805. Lothian win the Bob Normand Memorial Trophy. Alasdair Horne is to be congratulated on winning both the indoor and outdoor individual competitions. It helps to have the top man in your team! This is the first time these matches have been held for some years, and it is hoped more Regions will compete in future events as this All-Ranges meeting is now expected to be run annually and to become a fixture in the Scottish shooting calendar on the cusp of the change from the winter indoor season to the summer(!) outdoor shooting.
